经过上次所谓对西藏事件的西方媒体报道真实性的讨论,争议以及引发的高涨的民族热情,我想我要小心点——一直都要小心点:咨询信息的不对等是客观存在而且无法改变的,可以控制的便是我们在接受仅有的各种信息时的甄别和思考能力,那就是,use your brain,not just eyes and ears.

地震当天我看完国内网站的新闻,就去看了washingtonpost,nytimes,associated press,cnn,fox,bbc:都是属实的,除了消息有些滞后——death toll实在是增加得太快,唉——不过他们都不约而同的高调提到在都江堰聚源中学的900名学生。这个似乎也可以理解,他们对于孩子似乎关注更多——抑或是文明的另一方面体现?

所以我现在还想对比一下,国内的头条仍然是死亡人数和救援进程,在西方媒体虽然这件事已经不是头条,但基本每天都还有报道。比如,昨天的nytimes我就很惊奇地看到如下标题:Parents’ Grief Turns to Rage at Chinese Officials

政治立场不同,新闻视角迥异?

我不做评论,我想即使我说出几句话,也是肤浅和欠准确的,我只是很疑惑,为什么我在国内的网站上一点都看不到这方面的报道。

写到这儿,我忽然有个想法,就是想把从地震以来nytimes, washingtonpost和CNN的关于地震的新闻的标题收集一下,从这里不难看出他们报道的角度和趋势。

注:由于事件特殊性,尤其在地震刚发生时信息更新很快,媒体发表时同一篇文章可能经过多次修改,本次收集均以最后update并准。nytimes和washingtonpost均以其纸质出版文章为准,CNN的信息多以视频和短篇story为主,其在深度报道上较前者逊色,由于其网站archive也很繁杂,本次选取了全部有代表性的story——当然,这是我的主观判断。所有文章性质都是新闻(article或者story),没有收录评论(opinions和comments),均已加上超链接,点击即可进入。

其实,除了标题,我只读了其中一小部分文章,总体感觉,除了有些词句和报道角度的使用不同,其基于事实的信息都是可信的,都说新闻报道不应该表现出太多的倾向性,但这个尺寸甚是微妙。有个很有趣的事件,就是总理的facebook,各家媒体都高调报道,而且都和地震放在一起,这个在国内网站倒没见大的反应。

自己潜意识里一直比较喜欢nytimes的文章,在对比它和washingtonpost对同一件事情的报道时,我有些明白了:前者偏左,后者偏右,这个或许能解释我认为自己的政治倾向是liberal?

实在是很cute很funny的童话书。

所有的点点滴滴,所有的不经意的瞬间,此刻都如潮水般涌来,我,要躲到哪里去?

忽然想起村上

"每个人都有属于自己的一片森林,也许我们从来不曾去过,但他一直在那里,总会在那里。迷失的人迷失了,相逢的人会再相逢。"

村上的话。

当年读村上春树是很特殊的感觉,其实当时我已经基本放弃文学欣赏,但读却爱上读他的书,第一部是斯普特尼克恋人,感觉非常好,回头再去找传说中的挪威的森林,也很清新,然后是且听风吟,寻羊冒险记,海边的卡夫卡……长篇里面一部部看下来简直叹为观止,当然也有我不喜欢的地方,但仍然像嗑药一样吸引着我,羊男和海豚宾馆,多么奇怪的想象力。回到短篇,面包店再袭击看得我都无语了……

说多了,只是引用一段他的话而已。

我忽然在想,这么一个隐蔽的blog,连搜索引擎的爬虫我都给它屏蔽掉了,是应该写上高兴的事情还是记录不开心的时刻呢,为什么前面我说这么多的废话还是有顾虑不扯到那件事情呢,为什么我不开心呢?

突然之间就心情很不好,外面还是很大的太阳。

有些时候真的以为已经get over了,可是在总是在不经意的时候去在意,去暗自神伤。

许多的事情,都deadline的时候才发现来不及了,为什么不早做打算,抑或只是因为付出了却没有收获而忿忿不平?

很困,很累,想倾述,可是,没有力气说话。

眼界总要开阔些好,走出去吧。
